Clematis

This question was asked by
Dean

Hi , I’m looking to order the following Diamantina,
Florida Taiga. I have a garden trellis approx 12 inches in diameter in part shade.
I’m looking to plant 4 in total , two either side at the base of the trellis. Do you think that 2 would be sufficient ? And how deep they would need to be planted ?

Thanks

Dean

Hi Dean yes 2 of ours should be fine as they are already 2 years old and are good strong multi stemmed plants so will get on with the job as soon as they are planted (put the taiga on the side that gets the most sun)
hope this helps – links below

how hardy is this plant

Hi Alan, ours are hardy to about -20 , but this is because all ours are grown outside here in Doncaster for 2 years prior to us sending them out – thus making them fully hardy, other peoples young plants will be much less hardy
hope this helps

Please do you stock Diamantina pink and white.

Hi Richard , Diamantina will only have white tones if it is underfed. The natural tones are pinks, blues/ purples

Unless you are thinking about clematis ‘Josephine ‘ ?
See our links below, hope this helps
