Evergreen Clematis

Hi,
Which is the hardiest evergreen fast growing Clematis please (slightly acidic soil), but on South facing fencing?

Hi I would probably go for either armandii snowdrift or appleblossom (depending on whether you prefer white or pink) see links below, as all our plants are 2 years old in 2 litre pots and fully hardy, it means that they are fully mature and can be planted at anytime of year, so the sooner they go in the better they will perform this same season

We have a 20-year-old Snowdrift that forms a huge dome on the top of a gleditsia tree, almost smothering it. It is in full flower at the moment. Is it of value to wildlife (moths? butterflies?) or should I take it down and replace it with a later flowering one? It seems a waste!

Hi, if it’s becoming a problem then take it down after it’s finished flower and replace it with a viticella type. I don’t know whether they are of any value to wildlife but what I can say is that it’s not on our ‘bees and butterflies’ section (so probably not)
If you get one of our mature Viticellas in before the end of April then it will still do pretty well this same season
