All the Clematis here have been awarded the 'Award of Garden Merit'. This means that they have been trialed at RHS gardens and proved to be easy to grow, consistant in flowering/height/colour, growing in different aspects and situations. All round good 'doers'. However there are many new varieties that have yet to be tested that will make the grade also, and many being tested at this moment in time. It takes a number of years to quailfy for this award.
