This question was asked by - Elizabeth Is this clematis an evergreen? And will it cover a six foot wall reasonably quickly?
Thank you Hi, no its deciduous, but yes it does grow quicky and will get up to 6 feet this season if you plant a mature one this month,as all our plants are 2 years old in 2 litre pots and fully hardy, it means that they are fully mature and can be planted at anytime of year, so the sooner they go in the better they will perform this same season.
Hope this helps

Clematis for north facing fence
This question was asked by - Christine Hello, could you please suggest two or three varieties which would suit being planted against a rather unsightly north facing fence, with partial shade. I thought an evergreen clematis would be good to cover up the fence during the winter. Alternatively perhaps deciduous clematis with interesting stems. Thank you for your help, I've been going round in circles! Hi Christine sorry for the late reply. Evergreens will grow in shade but wont flower, so if you go down this route be prepared for this.
if you do go for deciduous ones then there are lots to choose from and the only way you are going to narrow it down is by using our filters.
first choose a colour that you want and then select the preferred height and finally the flowering period. This can all be done on our website starting from the 'any aspect' category (link below) hope this helps
