(Patens Group)
A hardy semi-climber with more or less upright stems to 1.5 m tall but shorter when pot grown. Leaf is ternate and normal to dark green. Upright flowers, spreading, 3 to 6 cm in diameter, purple-violet inside, outside shiny purple with paler coloured margin, the tepals are, while in full flower, still slightly curled inwards but later more spreading. Flowers from June into September. Pruning in March at 25 cm above soil level.
A remarkable floriferous clematis which is especially attractive when in bud as the buds are shiny red-purple. The flowers sometimes do not open fully and the flower colour varies from purple to violet.Available Now Pre - launch!!
